What you are, so is your world. Everything in the universe is resolved into your own inward experience. It matters little what is without, for it is all a reflection of your own state of consciousness. It matters everything what you are within, for everything without will be mirrored and colored accordingly.
The world is simply a mirror, reflecting back to us our own inner state. If we are inwardly in turmoil then we are certain to see a tumultuous world. A seemingly joyful world is only returning to us our own inward joy. What we see is a reflection of our state of consciousness.
Those days when everything seems to go wrong from the moment we wake up, usually begins with one bad event (car won’t start, alarm didn’t go off, etc.) that we allow to affect our state of mind. That leads to another, and then another and before you know it, the world looks like an ugly place to us. Put enough of those days together and life can become almost unbearable. Yet, nothing in the world created our misery, it was our response, our own state of consciousness that created the ugliness.
No matter what happens, look for the good and you’ll find it. A positive thinker does not refuse to recognize the negative – he refuses to dwell on it. Positive thinking is a form of thought which habitually looks for the best results from the worst conditions. It is always possible to look for something good; to expect the best for yourself even though things look bad. And the remarkable fact is that when you seek good, you will find it. Even when your logical mind concludes i am happy and this is the fault of other people being unhappy in the world, say out loud (in your mind) i am connected to this world, i am the light of this world, i am happy and let others around me shine happiness- so be it. You send a frequency, vibration, signal outwards that impacts the field. You are a light, almost like the sun…meaning it will shine with certain consistency for the life situation to manifest. If the sun’s beams were heavily inbalanced by thousands of degrees, life would not be possible on earth.
Your internal state is easier to control than what you perceive around you. It is much easier to eliminate hatred from within you than from the rest of the world. However trying to rid the entire world of hatred can seem considerably harder, and impossible. The key to banishing something from your external world, is to eliminate it from your internal world. Just stop hating. If you stop hating, your reality mirror which is your perceived external world will change to reflect that new perspective. The external hatred that you see will quickly be replaced by its opposite, love.
Let’s say that you look into your reality mirror and you see sadness. Many people seem sad and depressed. Looking inward, you realize that you, yourself, feel sad and depressed. Remember, to change the external you must first change the internal. So, do just that! For the next week, express and feel happiness. Smile periodically and feel the state of happiness inside you. One week later, take notice to your external reality.
Ask yourself whether your reality mirror seem happier this week as compared to last week. If you do it correctly, you should notice an increase in your perceived external happiness. People should seem more cheerful as compared to the previous week. That improvement in joviality is due to the minor change in your inner state. A continuation of this practice will eliminate much of the sadness from your reality and from yourself.
If your reality mirror reflects back at you many broken relationships, and it seems to you that no good relationships exist in your external reality, then you are probably not having a good relationship with yourself. If you dislike yourself to an unhealthy level, your reality mirror will reflect that state back at you. Much of what you see in your reality mirror will be people disliking themselves. The opposite case holds true too. If all you experience in your reality mirror are people that are too self loving, then most likely you are guilty of the same practice.
Using your reality mirror is a matter of looking at your external reality to see what you like and dislike about it. Then, you look inward to see where those aspects reside within you. The ones you like, you keep. The ones you dislike, you discard. The ones you desire, you add.
The outer conditions that you observe in your world is a reflection of your inner consciousness. As within, so without.
So , first be happy before teaching other people happiness. First be kind and peaceful before teaching others kindness and peacefulness.
